Sunday 20th April 2003
On Easter Sunday morning the Sawtry Motor Cycle Club held it’s third Easter
Egg Run to Hill Rise Respite Home for young people in Huntingdon. The club
took with it not only donations from the club members themselves, but Easter
Eggs supplied from the Huntingdon branch of Boots and a donation from the
Greystones Pub in Sawtry.
Hill Rise provides a valuable respite service to families with children with
learning difficulties up to the age of nineteen and the children were
delighted, not only by the arrival of the Easter Eggs, but also with the
sight and sound of the motorcycles.
SOS Recovery,
our local motorcycle recovery service, also turned up on the day to delight
the kids by giving them rides up and down on the hydraulic floor lift of the
recovery van.
We then had a crackin'
ride out up to Lincoln (I think) via everywhere and the Roman Cafe
(of course).
