Thank You to all of the
people who have made such lovely comments, we never really
understood Dad's passion for motorbikes until now. The sense of
community that you all share and the support that you give each
other is much more than just riding a bike. We would like to thank
all those that attended the funeral and as far as we are concerned
you made our Dad's funeral as special to him as it could have been.
We would also like to thank you for your continued support to Amie
(our little sister) whilst she is in Sawtry. Nothing is going to
bring our Dad back, but it is comforting to know that so many people
found him as special as we did. |

Ian was one of the first
members to join the club when Dave and I started it back in Sept
1999.
He then left to concentrate on family things, but re-joined again
last year (04) and boy there was no stopping him, he was so
enthusiastic and always had some new bike related item being watched
on ebay. I think this shows that when he did something it was all or
nothing, 100%.
Our thoughts and support are with all the family and friends
affected by this tragedy.
Jackie wishes to remain a member of the club and we will continue
to honour Ian in the only way we know. by riding our bikes and
remembering him with smile and a pint in our hands. Cagey |

Although I'm quite new
to the club and can't confess to having known Ian personally, I do
know what it feels like to lose a loved one prematurely. I would
like to pass on my sincere condolences to all of Ian's family and
friends at this very |

The main thing I
remember about Ian is his smile, he had this special characteristic
of appearing serious until he just beamed when he smiled. He was the
person I always tried to keep up with, but not quite making it (got
close sometimes though), I have many happy memories of Ian and I'll
always remember him as a good friend |

Ian turned up on my
doorstep, one evening and from that we worked together on a couple
of projects. What a great guy, always putting 100% into whatever
he did. Ian, Simon Sutton and I spent a week away up in Scunthorpe,
working in a concrete factory. Very hard work, but we had a great
time and a great laugh, a fabulous guy.
I remember me and Ian doing Vodka shots at a few parties last
year, again great fun, but the morning after wasn't.
Ian was one of a kind, I will never forget. |

I don't own a bike and I
don't really know much about them apart from how they make their
riders feel free and exhilarated. I understood the passion Ian
felt for his sport and hobby as I feel it through Christian to
whom he was a good friend and whom when in his company I always
felt Christian was safe. Ian would talk to me anyway, not about
bikes but just general stuff like Clide his and Jackies cat,
everyday normal things and he especially liked to remind us as
often as he could how many days holiday he got in his job! I will
truly miss Ian as a friend and companion to Christian and thank
him for introducing us to Jackie with whom our friendship will
continue :-) |

Indeed Tuesday nights
will never be the same, or indeed any ride out for that matter as
Ian was always there. In fact when ever I fancied a ride out, Ian
would be the first person I'd think of. Ian was a 100% top bloke
and friend - always up for a laugh, and of course a @#%$! good
ride out. But of course it's not all about the bikes, you could
not wish for better company to be in :- |

Tuesday nights will
never be the same, that's for sure. As Cagey said, Ian was a top
bloke and will be missed by the whole club. I got to know him
working nights in a concrete factory near Scunthorpe last year.
Forty feet in the air on a cherry picker cleaning soot off the
roof with buckets of water and bags of rags and we still had a
laugh. The factory was under contract making concrete sections for
the new Wembley Stadium so I'll always think of Ian whenever
Wembley Stadium is mentioned. I know he was looking forward to the
Isle of Man TT this year so we'll have a few beers for you while
we're there Ian. And then we'll have a few more. |
